This week, I finally finished and editioned my first woodcut print. There's kind of an asterisk to that, but first here's the print:



It's 4" x 4", I made 13 of 'em, and that's that. I've been working on a much larger woodcut (18" x 24"), for the last few months, but I can't get it to print anything near what I'd like. I struggled and struggled with it, with unacceptable results, so it went on the back burner for a little while. So this isn't the first woodcut that I've worked on, but it is the first one I've finished. I'll throw this one up on Etsy this week - I'm hoping to get a few smaller prints up over there in the coming weeks.
