Weight of the World (WIP 2)
So, the printing went pretty well on Friday. Eight of the ten attempts worked well and only need to be trimmed down. One attempt completely didn't work - the woodcut stuck to the plate instead of the paper. Printmaking fail! The other failed attempt is the one in the middle on the bottom row - part of the woodcut didn't stay glued down, and that'll require some repair work to keep it from looking awful. It's no big deal though, that print came out way darker than the rest, and wouldn't be included in the edition anyhow. I may repair it and do some additional drawing on it, but that's further down the line. In any case, getting eight usable prints out of ten attempts is way above my average, especially for using a process like chine colle.

Here's a print out of the edition:

I'm done working on this one (and it's variants) for now. I have a couple of other prints that I need to finish in a ridiculously short amount of time (including a drypoint I started just today), so it's time to move on a get some work done!
