Goal!
Eye candy comes first - here's a new print, fresh off the press. The specs: "Goal!" 4" x 6", intaglio/chine colle, 2009. Edition Variable of 4, printed on Fabriano Rosapina White paper. Here are all four variants (the fourth is my favorite):

I suppose now is as good as a time to point out that if you really like any of the prints that I post here, they're always all for sale. I don't know if I had actually pointed that out previously, but these guys would love to find a new home (this particular print is $60 cheap). And since we're nearing the holiday season, one of my prints might make an excellent gift for one of your weirdo friends. Drop me an e-mail if there's anything that catches your eye...

It's kind of nice to get some prints done since the quarter is wrapping up. On the horizon: holiday after holiday, ridiculous crowds everywhere, endless distractions, TV re-runs, gray weather, and peppermint-flavored everything. The ideal situation would be just to keep my head down and work straight through March, but there's a month-long winter hiatus looming, and I'm not particularly looking forward to it. It's taken nearly two months to get to the point where I feel like I'm being productive more often than not. It'll probably take all of January to get back to this point.

There's something about sliding into the cold weather that puts me into a grumpy mood. That's good for the sort of artwork that I tend to do, although I'm also sure that it's an uneven trade for the people around me. Knowing is half the battle, so I hear.

So yeah. Here's to the holiday season!
