The Skies Are Clearing
It's been a long 3-4 weeks, but I'm finally in the ballpark of healthy. The air-cast is hidden, the cane's going back in the closet. Thank goodness! I'm looking forward to getting back to work and some kind of normalcy (although I suppose the cusp of the holiday season probably isn't the best time to aim for that sort of thing). I'm buying supplies and visiting printmaking friends on Tuesday, and I've got an appointment on Wednesday between my ass and the chair at my printmaking studio.
I was watching TV late Friday night, which isn't usually a time when you're expecting to have your mind blown. I expect lame infomercials and stoner cartoons, maybe the tail end of some cool movie if I'm lucky. But instead of that, I was watching The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson, and his guest was Dr. Cornel West. I like Craig Ferguson, and I've enjoyed whenever Dr. West has been on some show or another, but again, I wasn't ready to have my mind blown. And make no mistake, this is some heavy shit. Clearly, Craig Ferguson thought so, too. It's just people talking, there's nothing to be afraid of. But still, if you want to check this out (and I think you should, or I wouldn't put it up here), maybe you'll want to find somewhere quiet where you can be by yourself and focus on some wisdom.
Seriously, it's been two days since I watched this, and I still can't stop thinking about it. Thank you, gentlemen.

Hi Clayton,
It's not money, but ignorance, wouldn't you agree ?
Best wishes,
