Dr. Sketchy - 2011 Stumptown Comics Fest edition
One of the great things that the Stumptown Comics Fest has done over the last few years is hosting a Dr. Sketchy event. Outside of this venue, it's a 21 and over life drawing session, usually held in a bar of some kind. Which is to say, completely awesome. So I made sure to attend the session today, and here's the bounty:

i made it through about an hour, but I'm a little rusty, and my hand kept falling asleep, mid-sketch. This last one was a ten-minute pose, and I probably couldn't feel anything in my hand other than pins and needles for at least half of that span. Oh well. For the record, I was using a green pencil for quick structure, and the rest was done directly in ink with my Pilot Parallel Pen. And the session was themed for "The Goon," a pretty popular comic book.
If you get the chance (and are in the Portland area), the Fest runs through tomorrow, and aside from cool panels, there's also a gazillion cartoonists with some really cool books that you might want to check out.
